Donna Maskell

My work includes books and other forms of writing, as well as dabbling in AI-generated art.

I’m interested in the ways in which science and religion shape people’s attitudes, and how conflicts that occur are resolved. Similarly, I am interested in the tension between chaos and order in the universe.

I spend a lot of time investigating topics of interest using ChatGPT, Grok, and occasionally CoPilot, Claude, and other AIs that may exist. In the end, I recognize my responsibility to verify what the AI tells me. I restrict myself to writing plausible fiction, less action adventure and more character-driven.

AI-GENERATED ART

Note that any artwork on this site is watermarked to make it essentially useless to take copies of. This is because current copyright law views AI-generated art as being in the public domain. You are legally welcome to attempt to re-create it, but be aware that many AIs update frequently enough that the same prompt doesn’t produce the same result twice in a row. This is especially true of art, for those AIs that will generate images. If the image generator is based on a diffusion model, the starting point is based on a “seed” (e.g. a random number), and the value of that number is not recorded or provided. Generate art for fun with the AIs and their image generators.
